Document Description
Channel rehabilitation activities are conducted in combination with other Trinity River Restoration Program management (e.g., flow and gravel management), to enhance the form and function of the Trinity River and ultimately to increase salmonid habitat for all life-stages. The proposed activities will create complex fish habitat and improve juvenile rearing habitat in the mainstem Trinity River and its side channels. Projects are designed to use alluvial processes of the Trinity River to maintain and increase aquatic habitat and complexity over time, and to provide conditions suitable for reestablishing and sustaining native riparian vegetation. This work is considered to be within the scope of the Master EIR for channel rehabilitation and sediment Management for remaining phase 1 and phase 2 sites = State Clearinghouse #2008032110
