Document Description
The proposed project involves the reconfiguration of existing athletic facilities and construction of a new PAC within the developed boundaries of the UHS campus. Specifically, the project would have two sequential phases. Phase I would involve demolition of the existing tennis courts and junior varsity (JV) softball field, followed by construction of eight new tennis courts in the area of the existing JV softball field and relocation of the JV softball field to the current turf soccer field area. The new athletic facilities would include updated fencing, replacement spectator seating (with no increase in capacity), netting, paving, and associated site improvements designed to enhance accessibility and safety. Phase II would consist of construction of a new, approximately 29,325-square-foot PAC and related site improvements, including a new 20-foot-wide fire lane, retaining walls, accessible pathways, a PAC entry plaza, and circulation modifications in the adjacent parking area to improve vehicle and pedestrian movement. The PAC would have a main performance space, a black-box theater, backstage and service areas, scene shop, dressing rooms, restrooms, ticketing booth, and outdoor learning and gathering spaces that integrate with the surrounding campus environment. Phase II would also add a bicycle and e-bike parking area adjacent to Parking Lot B on the southeast corner of the campus and would extend the existing fire access lane to Culver Drive on the west side of the campus.
