Document Description
CDFW has issued an amended ITP (No. 2081-2012-012-03 (ITP), pursuant to Section 2081(b) of the Fish and Game Code to Lind Marine.
The project is amended to extend time for commercial hydraulic sand mining operations until October 31, 2026 within the Middle Ground Island Shoal and Suisun Channel. The project provides local marine aggregate for use in highway maintenance and construction, new residential complexes, and commercial and public buildings within the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Project activities include hydraulic sand mining and sand offloading. The ITP amendment referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.

Project sites are located in the Middle Ground Island Shoal and Suisun Channel of Suisun Bay. The Middle Ground Island Shoal site is located southeast of Ryer Island and west of Middle Ground Island within Suisun Bay. The Suisun Channel site extends from the western end of Chipps Island through the channel and down Broad Slough between Winter Island and Kimball Island.
