Document Description
Martin Marietta Marine Operations, LLC. (Martin Marietta) (formerly Hanson Marine Operations Inc., a Heidelberg Cement Group affiliate), Lind Marine Inc. (Lind), and Suisun Associates (collectively, the Applicants) hold leases issued by the Commission to harvest sand commercially (sand mining) within the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary. The Applicants propose to mine a combined volume of 1,630,000 cubic yards per year from Commission parcels and 120,000 cubic yards per year from private parcels in Suisun Bay. The State Lands Commission action is certification of a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report, State Clearinghouse No. 2007072036; adoption of a Mitigation Monitoring Program and Statement of Findings; and approval of five 10-year General Lease – Mineral Extraction leases beginning February 9, 2026.
