Document Description
The MPWSP is a desalination water supply project that would include a desalination facility and related infrastructure, including a source water intake consisting of four subsurface slant wells and the conversion and use of one existing slant well located at the CEMEX property in Marina, Monterey County, and extending offshore in the submerged lands of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The State Lands Commission action is approval of a 24-year General Lease – Industrial Use for the above-described slant wells through January 1, 2050.
