Document Description
The Energy Commission has considered the relevant CEQA documents including the 2006 Environmental Impact Report prepared by the Stockton Port District for the Pelican Renewables LLC ethanol production facility, and a February 2025 letter from Stockton Port District's Director of Environmental Affairs indicating DeltaDAC requires only ministerial approvals by Stockton Port District. On October 8, 2025, the Energy Commission approved a grant to AirMyne, Inc. to pilot their direct air capture technology at the Pelican site. AirMyne's technology will capture 1,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere using low-temperature thermal regeneration and off-the-shelf materials and inputs.
