Document Description
The Flood Risk Management Project consists of design refinements to the authorized 2016 ARCF Project, including engineering design modifications, footprint expansions, and compensatory habitat mitigation approaches. The design refinements include actions within eight major project components: Magpie Creek Project; American River Erosion Contracts 3B North, 3B South, 4A, and 4B; Sacramento River Erosion Contract 3; American River Mitigation Site; Sacramento River Mitigation Site, and installation of a Piezometer Network. The purpose of the Flood Risk Management Project is to address slope stability and erosion concerns along the levees of the American and Sacramento Rivers to reduce the overall flood risk. The State Lands Commission action is approval of a 49-year General Lease – Public Agency Use through June 22, 2075 for American River Erosion Contract 3B North and 3B South.
