Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Streambed Alteration Agreement Notification No. 1600-2018-0084-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Ventura County Resource Conservation District (District) as represented by Jamie Whiteford.
The Project is limited to the alteration of the SCR and associated tributaries due to implementation of the Santa Clara River Arundo/Tamarisk Removal Program (SCARP). The Project is being amended to include three new project areas (I-K). The Project will also be amended to allow for vegetation removal in work areas which meet specific conditions to extend into a portion of the nesting bird season (March 15th). Finally, herbicide application will be allowed to be conducted year-round. These work activities will only be able to implemented if certain site-conditions exist and with adherence of existing and amended avoidance and minimization measures.
