Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SCR-58281-R3), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, Santa Cruz County - Resource Conservation District, as represented by Daniel Nylen. The Project will enhance instream and riparian habitat along San Vicente Creek to improve critical spawning and rearing grounds and aid in the recovery of Central California Coast (CCC) coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) and steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss), as well as to enhance habitat for the California red-legged frog (Rana draytonii), through the addition of large wood in the channel using the accelerated recruitment approach and removal of high-priority, non-native invasive plant species within the stream corridor.
