Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SDO-55830-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, with the project applicant, Xochitl Aranda, acting on behalf of Sweetwater Authority. The Project includes the installation of a new aeration and destratification system within Sweetwater Reservoir. The system will consist of air compressors feeding a diffuser line that is attached to a buoyant air pipeline in the reservoir. The underwater portion of the diffuser line will be anchored by concrete structures set at the bottom of the reservoir and tethered to the line by stainless steel cables. The pipe system will be assembled on land before placing it in the ground and the reservoir. The Project will result in temporary impacts to 0.08 acres of coastal sage scrub that is adjacent to the reservoir.
