Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an amended ITP No. 2081-2012-005-04 (Minor Amendment No. 3), pursuant to Section 2081(b) of the Fish and Game Code to Madera Quarry, Inc. The Project consists of Minor Amendment No. 3 to extend the timeline for Madera Quarry Inc. to complete the permanent protection of Habitat Management lands. Madera Quarry includes development and operation of a 78-acre hardrock quarry and 28-acre processing plant, and approximately 14.6 acres of roadway improvements. Madera Quarry will result in permanent impact to 135.4 acres of upland grassland habitat for California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense; CTS). The project is expected to result in incidental take of CTS, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The amended ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
