The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20 is approving an addendum to a previously adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration for the renewal of a Post Closure Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (Permit) for USS-UPI, LLC (Facility), formerly USS-Posco Industries, for ten years. This Permit will allow continued post closure maintenance of the hazardous waste landfill, Unit 1 Corrective Action Management Unit (CAMU). This Permit Renewal does not include any changes in operations or construction, and there are no proposed ground disturbing activities.
