Document Description
The City of Vallejo and Solano County propose construction of a new, approximately 36,000 sq ft Springstowne Public Library in the southeast corner of the 2.96 acre Springstowne Shopping Center. The proposed library would include approximately 11,000 sq ft book circulation areas; 6,200 sq ft of children's book circulation area; 3,200 sq ft of staff office space; 2,700 sq ft of community meeting room space; 1,400 sq ft for technology training area; 900 sq ft of lobby and building service and facility areas. The structure would be one story, measuring approximately 33 feet tall. An outdoor reading room with shade trees and benches is planned between the west facing facade and the adjacent retail building.
