Document Description
Establish and operate a 60-bed farmworker housing facility and associated infrastructure on a proposed parcel of -7.0 acres. The proposed facility will contain (4) buildings, totaling approximately 12,734 sq.ft. of floor area and +/-53,367 sq.ft. of total site area, including driveways and parking area. Cave spoils from an off-site cave excavation will be crushed and applied to roads on-site as road base. The square footage use is proposed as follows: The construction materials will be rammed earth, utilizing other recycled materials including beams salvaged from an old construction project and the use of cave spoils for the construction of the parking areas. Heating is via a radiant floor heat system. The facility is designed to utilize sunlight as a primary source of lighting. During night hours the lighting will be via low-wattage flourescent lighting.
