Document Description
The applicant is requesting approval of rezone, General Plan Amendment, Preliminary Development Plan 01-PDP-08 and Tentative Parcel Map 31028 to construct a wine center consisting of a winery and storage warehouse that will primarily process grapes grown in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. The applicant proposes splitting APN 137-170-36 to form a 3.54-acre parcel for improvement and a 4.23-acre remainder parcel. The 97,600 square foot warehouse would be used for storage of barrels and cases, and would provide a shipping and receiving component. The proposed building may be leased to many different vintners and vineyards. The proposed rezone and General Plan amendment would change the designations for Parcel A from CR (General Commercial) to CS (Service Commercial).
