Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to improve traffic safety at the intersection of State Route 29 and Spruce Grove Road. Currently southbound traffic intending to turn east onto Spruce Grove Road must decelerate and stop within the southbound traffic lane. This introduces possible conflicts between motorists traveling in the southbound directions who do not intend to turn, as well as oncoming northbound traffic. The addition of a left-turn lane will provide a space for turning vehicles to wait until it is clear to proceed through the intersection. Coyote Creek Bridge will also need to be widened to accommodate the proposed improvements.
