Document Description
Remove asbestos-containing material (ACM) and asbestos-contaminated materials at the historic Mansion in Olompali State Historic Park to protect public and employee health and safety and to allow the additional work necessary to protect and preserve the structure. All work will be performed by a Licensed Asbestos Removal contractor. Timing of work will be restricted to avoid impact to bat species inhabiting the structure.

Reasons for Exemption
Project consists of minor cleanup actions taken to eliminate the release of a hazardous substance (asbestos). Because the structure is considered a significant historic resource, all work will be conducted in a manner consistent eoth the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
