                Document Description
            
            The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Hughson (the "Agency") has prepared an Initial Study for an Environmental Impact Report (EIR),  which includes an Environmental Checklist for the proposed Redevelopment Plan (the "Plan") prepared for the Hughson Redevelopment Project (the "Project").  The Agency is proposing to establish the Project for the purpose of implementing redevelopment projects and programs designed to: upgrade public facilities and infrastructure, promote and facilitate economic development and job growth, provide additional affordable housing opportunities, and generally improve the quality of life for residents, and business and property owners within the limts of the Redevelopment Project Area specifically, and the City overall.
