The project includes the relocation of existing public fishing opportunities, from previously owned Forest Service land to the easterly portion of the Loveland Reservoir. Sweetwater Authority would provide an easement to the Forest Service to ensure continued public access. The following improvements are the project components: a) Improvements of existing access to the site in the form of turning lands off Japatul Road; b) construction of a parking lot to accommodate visitor vehicles; c) installation of trash receptacles in the parking area, along the trail, and as needed; d) installation of toilet facilities; e) installation of informational signs at the trail head and as necessary; f) improvements to an existing trail for erosion control and safety purposes; This would include placement of railroad ties or similar material along the existing trail.
