Document Description
Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) is proposing to widen the intersection of Bradshaw Road and Gerber Road in the Florin Vineyard Community in unincorporated Sacramento County. The intersection will be widened from the existing four by four lanes to modified four by six lanes (project). The additional lanes will taper off approximately 900 feet north, east, and south of the intersection, and approximately 1,500 feet west of the intersection. Additionally, the implementation of the project will require removal of native oak and non-native trees.
Utility poles, electrical, sewer, water, and communication facilities are located along the project alignment and may require adjustment or relocation. Utility relocation coordination will be an on-going effort as the project progresses and conflicts are identified and resolved with utility companies.
Construction of the project will require permanent right of way acquisition for public roadway public utility easements (PRPUE) and public utilities public facilities easements (PUPFE) from 17 parcels along Bradshaw Road and Gerber Road. Full acquisition will be required for three parcels, totaling approximately 78,811 square feet, located along Bradshaw Road. Existing structures will be demolished in the areas where full acquisitions are required. Total right of way to be acquired for PRPUE is approximately 51,232 square feet, and for PUPFE is approximately 14,090 square feet.
In addition to the permanent acquisitions identified above, temporary construction easements (TCE) will be required from 14 parcels along Bradshaw Road and Gerber Road, totaling approximately 12,174 square feet. However, these easements will be temporary in nature and only be required during construction of the project. All necessary easements will be finalized during final design of the project and will be captured on final design plans.
