Document Description
Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) is proposing to connect Waterman Road between Thimbleberry Drive and Ribera Street in the North Vineyard Station Specific Plan area in unincorporated Sacramento County. Waterman Road will be connected by a new at-grade crossing over the Central California Traction Company (CCTC) railroad crossing. Additionally, curb, gutter, sidewalk, raised landscape medians, and Class 2 bike lanes will be installed along the project alignment. The project is anticipated to take approximately seven months to be constructed, and construction activities will be restricted to between 7:00am and 7:00pm on weekdays. Nighttime construction is not anticipated and will only be performed upon approval from the County. Construction activities are anticipated to include excavation, grading, and paving. Standard construction equipment will be utilized and includes generators, compressors, backhoes, loaders, and a variety of trucks. Water facilities including water valves and drainage manholes are located along the project alignment and may require adjustment. Utility coordination will be an ongoing effort as the project progresses and conflicts are identified and resolved with the utility company. Construction of the project will require permanent right of way acquisition for public roadway public utility easements (PRPUE) and public utilities public facilities easements (PUPFE) from two parcels along Waterman Road. Approximately 2,648 square feet will be required from Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 066-0210-045 for PUPFE and approximately 7,200 square feet will be required for PRPUE. Approximately 1,658 square feet will be required from APN 065-0052-003 for PRPUE. This may be altered during final design; however, no full property acquisitions would be required. Additionally, no demolition of existing structures within the acquisition areas would be required.
