Document Description
Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) is proposing to extend Skyking Road east of the intersection of Metro Air Parkway in the Metro Air Park (MAP) Special Planning Area (SPA) (Plate AD-1). Skyking Road would extend approximately 1,155 feet east to connect with Phelan Drive. Phelan Drive improvements would begin at the terminus of the existing roadway that extends northwest from W. Elkhorn Boulevard along the developed parcel, APN 201-1470-005-0000, and extend approximately 380 feet northwest (project). The extension of both roadways was anticipated.
Skyking Road and Phelan Drive would be constructed as two-lane arterials, including bike lanes, curb, gutter, and separated sidewalks. The sidewalks along Skyking Road would be separated by eight-foot landscape planters on both sides of the newly constructed road, while a separated sidewalk would be installed along the western portion of Phelan Drive. In addition, the improvements include the addition of six streetlights, storm drainage, and a 12-inch potable water system.
