Document Description
Caltrans proposes a project to enhance safety by installing interim improvements at the intersection until it is converted to a permanent, full-scale roundabout. The project is in Butte County at the intersection of State Route (SR) 191 and Durham-Pentz Road at Post Mile (PM) 3.50.
This project is needed because drivers often ignore the intended circular traffic pattern of the temporary roundabout and proceed directly through the intersection, resulting in a high frequency and severity of collisions.
All work will be within existing Caltrans right of way and will not require soil disturbances.
