City of Petaluma General Plan Update

The proposed project consists of a new General Plan that will replace the existing General Plan 2025 and serve as a long-term framework for the future. The General Plan represents the community's vision and guiding principles, and contains goals, policies, and actions that will guide the City in land use and resource decisions. To provide a contemporary plan that will guide the community, the new General Plan considers the next 25 years and addresses community-wide issues, new opportunities, and changes in State law.
